03 Oct Comm-Works Supports Local Animal Shelter
Last Monday, Comm-Works hosted an in-house bake sale and raised over $400 for Happy Tails Rescue, a local animal shelter. In addition to the bake sale proceeds, Comm-Works employees donated their time, and yards of fabric to make blankets for the animals. In just three short hours Comm-Works employees were able to complete 25 fleece tie blankets during the work day. CEO Al Lampe states, “Comm-Works is committed to making volunteering as accessible as possible for all employees.”
Every year, Comm-Works hosts, and participates in, five different fundraisers for the benefit of various non-profit organizations. “This was Comm-Works first time working with Happy Tails Rescue, and by almost doubling our goal of $250, the event was a success!” said Jennifer Scott, Executive Assistant.
The money raised was used to provide the shelter animals with crates, toys, food, cleaning supplies, collars, and beds. One lucky puppy even found a loving home with a Comm-Works employee.
